Goat research focuses on the development, production and management of animals to ensure the supply of milk and meat, which is essential in a number of countries worldwide. Additionally goats provide a model for the study of infectious diseases in large ruminants and related human diseases, such as tuberculosis and Crohn’s disease. More recently, goats have become a natural disease model for chronic rheumatoid arthritis in humans.
To date there are only a few antibodies for caprine cell surface markers and cytokines that have been raised against goat-specific targets, researchers therefore rely on products that are shown to be cross-reactive between species. Antibodies from several species have been tested and shown to be suitable for caprine immune analysis research.
Our anti-goat antibodies are available with a range of conjugates and tested for reactivity to caprine markers. They are suitable for a range of applications including flow cytometry, western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and ELISA. Each is performance guaranteed for the applications listed on the product datasheet.
